Catalyzed by the Amherst Uprising, the Being Human in STEM course started as a partnership between students, faculty, and staff interested in enhancing student experiences in STEM at Amherst College and beyond. Offered since Spring 2016, the course is an engine for student-led inquiry and action that has shaped the STEM culture at Amherst and has been adopted by over a dozen institutions including Yale, Williams, and the University of Utah.
