"UTMA Open Science" is a series of open events and lectures by invited distinguished experts, with a goal of strengthening the connections between medical universities, research centers, healthcare practitioners, medical students and scientists. The project is organized by the Department of Science of the University of Traditional Medicine.
Our invited expert is Siranush G. Hovhannisyan, Ph.D., Head of the Neurolinguistics Research Group (H.Acharyan Institute, NAS RA); President of the Association of the Young Scientists of the National Academy of Science of Armenia
ABOUT THE TOPIC:
Neurolinguistics explores how the brain processes language, revealing deep connections between linguistic ability and overall cognitive health. A well-functioning language system supports memory, emotional regulation, and social interaction — all vital components of a healthy mind. Understanding neurolinguistic mechanisms can also aid in early detection and treatment of mental and neurological disorders, helping preserve mental well-being.
