The first step for prospective participants to present their work at HSR2022 is to write and submit an abstract of their research/work. The purpose of a conference abstract is to summarize the main points of the paper that they will present in HSR 2022. In it, a clear and focused explanation of the topic and main points of the research are expected to be succinctly summarized. For HSR2022, individual abstracts may be submitted as a paper, poster, or multimedia presentation:
A paper - Is a 10-minute oral presentation with an additional 5 minutes allowed for questions.
A poster - Is a physical display that is no more than 120 cm by 80 cm in size or an e-poster that will be displayed virtually.
A multimedia presentation - Could be a short film, documentary, animated film, or photo-essay and should be no longer than 15 minutes in total presentation time.
In line with Health Systems Global (HSG) Core Symposium Principles, the Scientific Committee of HSR2022 will assess individual abstracts submissions based on their:
1. Technical merit
2. Relevance to the HSR 2022 Symposium themes
3. Significance to the sub-theme area and field-building dimension
To support prospective participants (especially researchers and implementers from LMICs) who are keen on submitting abstracts for HSR 2022, the HSG Asia-Pacific (HSG-APAC) will conduct a series of abstract workshops. This will increase the number and quality of abstract submissions to HSR2022 by providing guidance, feedback, and refinement on writing an abstract and articulating the relevance of the research/work to the symposium. Encouraging participation of researchers and implementers from LMIC countries is a key priority for HSG, therefore increasing the number and quality of submissions to HSR2022 is of critical importance.
