The Community Collaborative provides support for students and families of the Rowland Unified School District who are homeless, foster, low income, or at-risk for school failure. The mission of our collaborative is:
To offer all children who reside within the target community a safe, healthy, nurturing childhood which will prepare them to become responsible and contributing members of the community.
The Community Collaborative's stated goals are:
#1 Provide access to health/dental services.
#2 Provide alternatives to gang involvement and violence.
#3 Improve communication between school and community.
#4 Focus on wellness, preventive health care and nutrition.
#5 Empower parents to seek job training and work opportunities.
We hold five meetings throughout the school year. Since we have outgrown the space at the Family Resource Center, our wonderful partners at Pacific Clinics have graciously offered to host these meetings in their beautiful new meeting room. Meetings will be held on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. on the following dates: 9/27/18; 10/25/18; 1/24/19; 3/14/19; 5/16/19.
Please let us know the way(s) in which you or your agency wishes to be involved in the Collaborative. Feel free to forward this survey to others in your agency or from other community organizations which align with the goals of the Collaborative.
Thank you for your continued support of Rowland Unified School Districts efforts to eliminate barriers faced by homeless, foster, and low income students. Together we can help children and youth have a bright future!
