Spring Series 1 Cooking Classes: Age 7-10
Note:  all classes is this series are currently full, but you are welcome to join the waitlist if you would like. I cannot guarantee a spot will become available. Thank you for your interest!

These classes are listed as a series, but you are able to pick and choose which ones you enroll your child into, or you can register for all of them! Spring Series 1 will run March 24 - April 14. 

Pricing information below. 

Limited spaces are available. You will receive a confirmation email after your enrollment is received. If you choose a full class, your child will be put on the wait list for that class and you will receive an email. 

Each class will last 1.5 hours long. Your child will get hands-on experience learning basic kitchen skills. We will discuss cooking terms, techniques, and also infuse a little kitchen science into our lessons. Please see individual class descriptions for more details. 

Classes will be held in a private home kitchen, in the 4th Street & Milwaukee Ave area. Exact location will be provided upon registration. Please contact prior to booking if you have any questions.

This week we will be making delicious cinnamon rolls from scratch.

This week, we will be making food that looks like something else (example:  meatloaf and mashed potatoes that look like cupcakes). No "prank" food will be made -- we will NOT be making chocolate covered brussels sprouts! We'll just be having creative fun in the kitchen.

We will be making recipes from the cookbook "Priya's Kitchen Adventures". Exact recipes are TBD

Space in each class is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Submission of this form does not guarantee a spot in class. You will receive an email with registration confirmation and payment instructions after this form is submitted.

Payment Information & Cancellations: 

Payment for Spring Series 1 will be due at the time of registration. 

Payments should be made through Venmo (instructions will be sent via email)

Fees are non-refundable. I know emergencies happen, and kids get sick. If notice is made prior to the start of class, I will offer a credit toward a future class. 

Inclement weather:  we all know Lubbock weather - unpredictable! If we need to cancel due to bad weather, I will try to schedule a makeup class, or offer a refund/credit if needed.

Allergy Information:

Please list any allergies for your child. We will make accommodations in class when possible, however we teach with a variety of foods in a home kitchen and cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment. Please consider your child’s safety before registering them for a cooking class.

Please list any information that may assist us in providing the best class experience for your child. Information will be kept private and not shared. Examples of information shared may include:  dyslexia, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, etc.

Photo Release:

806 Future Chefs, LLC is requesting your permission to use photos/videos of your child, for advertising and social media purposes. We plan to use photos/videos on our social media page (Facebook, Instagram), website, marketing materials to promote our program and highlight the fun and engaging activities we offer. We want to assure you that we will take all necessary steps to protect your child's privacy. We will only use the photograph in the ways described above, and we will not sell or share the photograph with any third parties.

Hold Harmless Agreement, Waiver and Release

In consideration of being permitted by 806 Future Chefs, LLC, to participate in its cooking classes, I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian of the participant named below, do hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages or personal injury, death, or property damage which I or the participant may have or which may hereafter accrue as a result of participation in said activity. I understand and acknowledge the following: 
● The activity that my child is participating in may involve the use of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food items that can cause injury if not used properly. 
● There are inherent risks associated with cooking, such as cuts, burns, and allergic reactions, which cannot be completely eliminated. 
● 806 Future Chefs will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants, but accidents can and do happen. 

My child is participating in this activity voluntarily and I assume all risks associated with their participation. By signing this form, I agree to the following: 
● I will hold harmless and defend 806 Future Chefs, LLC, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with my child's participation. 
● I will provide 806 Future Chefs, LLC with any and all information regarding my child's medical conditions, allergies, and dietary restrictions. 
● I will ensure that my child follows all safety rules and instructions provided by 806 Future Chefs staff. 
● I will remove my child from the program if they become disruptive or pose a safety risk to themselves or others.

Additional camp information:

This is a drop-off class. Parents and siblings not registered for class are not allowed to stay.

Drop-off and pick-up no earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start and end of class. 

Short sleeves and closed toe shoes should be worn for safety purposes. Long hair should be pulled back (or please bring a hair accessory to secure it back.) 

Aprons are optional but recommended. Cooking is messy business, and there is no guarantee that garments will stay clean.

You may send a labeled water bottle to class with your child.
