The Standing Committees of the Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania shall be: Executive, Development, Pipeline, Events and Programs, Scholarship, Membership/Membership Benefits, and History and Archives. The standing committee and subcommittee chairpersons will be appointed by the President.
Descriptions of Each Committee Are Listed Below:
Development - Responsible for improving the financial status of the society via fundraising, planned giving, and grants.There will be an annual gala subcommittee.
Pipeline - Responsible for all activities geared towards efforts to increase the number of African American physicians in the Greater Philadelphia Area.The two sub-committees include scholarship and mentorship.
Events and Programs - Responsible for any community educational outreach, existing radio programs, workshops, CME, and seminars and all scientific or social programs given by the society.
Membership/Membership Benefits - Responsible for increasing membership and work with local businesses to increase membership benefits
History and Archives - Responsible for collaborating with the College of Physicians to store historical artifacts
