5. Registration fees of chairs of project and standing committees are paid by the state, as required by Michigan bylaws.
6. Business items are outlined for the state officers through International bylaws.

Optional Program Elements
Again, there are elements of business that must be discussed. We have, however, options within the program. We also have the option of handling optional program elements at the reciprocity or chapter level. Let’s take a look.
Celebration Dinner: Generally held the second night of convention, we celebrate all P.E.O. activities and achievements over the last year. Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Celebration Entertainment: Generally held following the Celebration Dinner, previous acts have included Civil War bands, husband and wife comedic musical duets, and most recently a Motown review. Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Chapter Eternal Memorial: Service for sisters who have passed on to Chapter Eternal (1½ hrs). Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Luncheon program celebrating chapter anniversaries & sister’s milestones (1½ hrs). Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Workshops are topical and offered for training purposes. Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Meet the State Board: Informal evening greeting time (2 hrs). Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
New State Board Receiving Line: Follows the final business session. Is this a compelling or necessary part of your convention experience?
Cost & Technology
How much does cost factor into your decision to attend (1/not at all ~ 5/very much)?
Invitations: If printable convention invitations were available online, particularly to reduce both cost and waste, would you find this acceptable?
Programs: If printable convention programs were available online, particularly to reduce both cost and waste, would you find this acceptable?
Convention Experiences
When determining to attend, which of the following items impact your decision?
(1/not at all ~ 5/very much)
Time to meet & mingle (hospitality).
P.E.O. teaching workshops.
Sightseeing outside of convention programming.
After Dinner Entertainment.
Project recipient speakers.
Project room literature & information.
Attending with chapter sisters/friends.
Are there any other elements of the program that you feel are essential or that you feel might be eliminated?
Your answer
Project Report(s)
It is required that at least one project recipient speak at convention; this can be delivered via speaker or can take the form of a workshop. Currently, we hear a speaker from each project on the evening of the Celebration Dinner. Let's explore our options: (a) do we want to continue to hear from all projects or (b) are we in favor of focusing on one project each year?
Would you be in favor of focusing on one project each year?
Would you be in favor of hearing one speaker from each project?
