💫 Mod Applications - BSD Volunteer Initiative 💫
Hello and welcome :)

We are very happy about your interest in joining our mod team and are very looking forward to learning more about you!

ABOUT THE EVENT: the BSD Volunteers Initiative is an 18+ only, collaboration and interaction focused effort to support the Palestine Children's Relief Fund through the creation of fanworks by volunteer artists and writers. The main goal of the event is for the BSD Community to raise donations in exchange for access to the story and art pieces created by our volunteers. We believe that we create best when we create together, so we are looking forward to fostering a space for mutual exchange and encouragement, with the final goal of creating new works for the fandom's collective enjoyment and supporting the Palestine Children's Relief Fund!

THE CONTENT: This is a multiship event, which means all mods MUST be comfortable interacting with works for a very diverse range of ships. It's also a themed event. As it was chosen through the votes in our interest check, the project's theme is Alternative Universes, which means we will be featuring fanworks set in settings other than the canon BSD universe, with as little repetition as possible.

We ask that any prospective mods please read our guidelines carefully before applying to make sure you understand and would like to join the project. Our event has already started, but we would like to have more people join our mod team as the project progresses.

If you have any questions regarding this form's content, or have any doubts on how to best answer any of the following questions, you can email us (bsdvolunteers@gmail.com) or DM us on Twitter for clarification.

You can also follow the event's Twitter, Bsky or Tumblr to keep informed on it!

We count on your collaboration and are looking forward to your application.

Thank you!

Which mod team(s) would you like to be a part of? *
Required
Considering that each team will have multiple people working together, are you available to and interested in being a part of more than one of the mod teams selected above? *
If you selected that you would prefer to be a part of only one team, but have indicated multiple options of which that team could be, please indicate your preferred team to be a part of below.
Clear selection
We would like to know more about you! Do you have previous experience as a mod? Which events/zines/exchanges have you worked in? Tell us a little about yourself and the type of mod work you are usually drawn to!
Keep in mind that it is very important for us that this be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved, so we are looking for well intentioned and likeminded people who see the value in collaborative work and creative encouragement of all kinds!
If any of the projects you have mentioned modding for are currently ongoing, how many projects are you currently involved in as a mod?
We are counting on your honesty to make sure everyone has enough availability to not become overwhelmed later on in the project! It is great to be involved in the fandom, but we want to make sure all member of our mod teams are able to properly manage their responsibilities <3
If you don't have previous experience as a mod, but have felt some connection to this event that makes you want to apply to help regardless, tell us more about your fandom participation in general!
We want to hear about events/zines you have written or made art for, about gift exchanges and bangs you have joined and any other form of fandom collaborative interaction that you have been a part of in the past!
Team work, creative encouragement and collaboration are very important to us, but we'd also like to know what is important to you! What are you hoping to get out of being a mod in this event? What about this event's specific themes and goals has drawn you to apply as a mod? *
If you have any sort of portfolio you would like to share with us, please provide a link to it. We particularly encourage applicants who wish to be graphics mods to give us examples of your previous work if any is available (preferably through a google drive link), and writing mods to provide links to their Ao3 accounts!
If we require clarification about any of your previous answers, are you available to be DMed for further contact?
If so, please provide us with your social media username in which you'd prefer to be contacted in the following format: @name (social media)
ex: @BSDVolunteers (twitter)
Lastly, we plan on this being a relatively small event in order to better ensure that all participants and their work will be given the appropriate attention. For that reason, we cannot promise that mod positions will be available for all applicants.
We appreciate the interest regardless and will be reaching out to all applicants with their results after the mod applications close.
With that in mind, please provide us with an email address in which we can send you your application result.

All mod applicants will receive their results by email. Thank you so much for the interest in applying!
