World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver Volunteer Sign-up

Come celebrate World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver, an event to recognize the local maritime community and educate the public on port operations and initiatives.
We’re looking for up to 30 volunteers to help us run an exciting schedule of events at Canada Place on September 28th. Volunteering is a great way to build experience, get involved in your community, and meet new people.

World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver starts at 10am at Canada Place—this year's theme is "Empowering Women in the Maritime Community," so you won't want to miss out!
World Maritime Day Volunteer Rewards
-Official World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver Volunteer t-shirt
-Lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided
-Opportunity to win some great prizes
-Certificate of Appreciation including hours committed
-Opportunity to meet new friends
-Opportunity to show your community spirit
-Opportunity to gain large-scale event experience
World Maritime Day Volunteer Requirements
-Commit to a minimum of 6 hours
-Enjoy working with the public
-Be at least 16 years of age
-Be able to attend the Volunteer Orientation session on Wednesday, September 25 from 6-7:30pm, held at the Port of Vancouver Discovery Centre (north end of Canada Place)
-Be punctual, reliable and responsible
