Climate Bonds

Public Sector Institutions | 10:00–10:45 AM

Private Sector Institutions | 11:00 AM–11`:45 AM

Learn about the financial benefits of issuing green bonds. These sessions will cover how to structure climate bonds for entities interested in learning more about this innovative financing tool. We are inviting an expert from the Climate Bonds Initiative to give an overview of how to prepare a green finance framework, build a pipeline of qualifying projects, and issue green bonds.

We will have two separate sessions: the first session will be for public sector entities, particularly municipalities and nonprofits, and the second session will be for corporate partners. These sessions are intended to cover the benefits of green bonds at a fairly high level while also providing an opportunity to ask questions of an expert and compare notes with peers. The groups will be intentionally small to allow for a frank and informal discussion. There will be ample time for Q&A, and the expert will be available for one-on-one discussions into the early afternoon.
