The Mentoring Committee is offering a series of mentor-training webinars, adapted for Research Development professionals, from the evidence-based Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) curriculum (
). Topics covered include: Introductory Session/Framing the Curriculum; Maintaining Effective Communication; Aligning Expectations; Assessing Understanding; Addressing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Fostering Independence; Promoting Professional Development; Cultivating Ethical Behavior; and Articulating Your Mentoring Philosophy and Plan. Content and concepts are applicable in many areas of research development practice.
