Welcome to our Community Calendar!
Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert is a California registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation for various segments of the LGBTQ leather, kink and fetish communities. Our collaborative programming includes lifestyle awareness and education, social interaction, as well as inclusive community services (see pslod.org for more information).
As a nonprofit, we are dedicated to providing this community calendar with the intent to make a fair, accessible space to promote events that align with our mission. Whether it’s a workshop, social gathering, or fundraiser, we want to help you spread the word.
📝 Submission Guidelines
1. Standardized Format (Text-Only)
To keep the calendar easy to read and consistent for all, we do not post flyers, logos, or graphics. Every entry includes:
WHEN: Date and time (including end times).
WHO/WHAT/WHY: A brief, clear summary of the event.
WHERE: Physical address or virtual link.
COST: Any fees, "Free," or "Suggested Donation."
LINK: A website or social media link for full details and graphics.
2. Submission Timeline
3-Week Lead Time: Events must be submitted at least 21 days before the event date.
Processing Schedule: Submissions are reviewed and posted on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month (or the following weekday in the event of a holiday).
3. Review Policies
Rewording & Moderation: We reserve the right to edit descriptions for clarity, brevity, and tone. To ensure our public calendar remains accessible and compliant with general audience platform standards (PG-13), we reserve the right to replace specific terms with coded language or community-appropriate alternatives.
Approval Loop: If significant changes are required, we will email you for approval. Please note that a delay in your response may postpone the posting of your event until the following review cycle (the next 1st or 3rd Monday).
Refusal & Removal: We reserve the right to decline or remove any event that does not align with our community guidelines, mission, or safety standards. Furthermore, PSLOD reserves the right to deny space to organizers or events that are not in good standing with the community or whose conduct is inconsistent with our values and community safety protocols. All posting decisions are made at the sole discretion of the PSLOD Executive Board of Directors.
