Supporting Tagalog/Filipino at Yale

Currently, Yale does not offer Tagalog, one of the most popularly spoken Filipino languages and the 4th most spoken language in the United States. We recognize this large educational gap and are in the process of advocating for representation of Tagalog/Filipino as a formal language class while bringing together Filipinos and non Filipino allies.

Because student voice is so important in introducing institutional change, we would love your support. We are writing a compelling letter to the director of Yale's Center for Language Study (CLS) outlining our passion and need for Tagalog/Filipino being offered which will also be presented to the Yale College Council (YCC). Please fill out this google form if you would like to show support for Tagalog at Yale.
