I, the undersigned, as the parent or legal guardian of the registered student, do hereby give my full consent and approval for my child to participate in activities during the 2025 Chop It Like It’s Hot Youth Cooking Competition.  

Albeit unlikely, I understand that there are certain risks of participating in a cooking competition that may result in damages and injuries during these activities and I hereby accept these risks.  

I hereby, for myself and on behalf of my child, agree to save and hold harmless and fully indemnify Virginia Highlands Festival, board of directors, staff, & volunteers, and sponsors on the account that all normal safety procedures have been taken on behalf of Management and Staff, from any and all liability for any personal injury or injury to any third-party child resulting from my/my child’s actions/participation in the above-mentioned activities.  

I understand that the date, signature, and submission of my/my child(s) registration via the registration form provided serves as my consent to these above stated terms.
