Join us as we turn New York City's Fifth Avenue green September 7 when we march in the largest annual Labor Day Parade in America to show the world that DC 37 runs New York City!
This year's parade will take place on Saturday, September 7. DC 37 members, retirees and staff will meet at 11 am on West 48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. DC 37 locals will turn out and turn up to march with dozens of other trade unions, faith-based groups and clergy, and thousands of working people from all walks of life.
Please plan to attend. Bring your families, friends, coworkers and neighbors. This is an especially important opportunity to send OUR message to anti-union groups like the Koch Brothers and other conservative extremists who are trying to destroy us. If they want a fight, they've got it! AND WE WILL WIN! As we march on Sept. 7, we will show the world the labor movement is bigger, badder and stronger than ever!
We cannot forget that in 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made the ultimate sacrifice and lost his life fighting for freedom from hate, the freedom to come together and join a union, the freedom for workers-- for all people-- to be treated with dignity and respect.
It is up to us-- you and me-- to continue that fight.
I hope to see you and your family, friends and coworkers on Sept. 7. Register to attend by completing the form below. For more information, please contact the DC 37 Political Action Dept. at 212-815-1550.
