DEADLINES: 28 August 2019: Apply for Stakeholder Selection Committee31 August 2019: Apply to attend the plenary session of the 10th meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators The UN Statistics Division is facilitating an application process to identify representatives from civil society organizations, academia and the private sector to attend the plenary session of the Tenth meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators, taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 22-24 October 2019.

TRAVEL FUNDING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FROM THE UN for attendees selected to attend the plenary session of the meeting through this process.
Stakeholders will be able to openly make interventions during the discussions on each agenda item during the plenary session and may be invited to make presentations on selected agenda items.
Before submitting a nomination or application, please confirm that the candidate:• is a representative of a civil society organization, academic institution or private sector entity, and officially authorized to participate on their behalf;• has demonstrated expertise and experience related to sustainable development indicators• has demonstrated ability to engage constructively with a variety of stakeholders;• is available to be in Beirut, Lebanon and for travel if necessary;• The participant will be responsible for any costs associated with obtaining a visa (please see the Information Note on the IAEG-SDG website for more details).

DESA-UNSD will inform the applicants selected to attend the meeting by 13 September 2019.
Approximately 50 applicants will be selected to attend the meeting. UN Statistics Division will facilitate a Civil Society Selection Committee to review all applications and select the 50 attendees, ensuring regional and gender balance and diversity of expertise, constituencies and age in the overall selection.

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING SUBMISSIONS:- An applicant will only be represented once in the responses spreadsheet. If a candidate is nominated more than once, the first nomination will be retained and all others removed. Candidates will be reviewed on how well they meet the criteria, not on how many people nominate them.
