You may be aware that social media is being used to propagate false and hoax medical messages.It should be prevented.

A health literate society can prevent spreading of such health hoax messages.

Health Infonet is a platform for institutional and health care experts' collaboration for dissemination of health literacy.

This is just an experimental attempt to know how health literacy can be imparted to members of an institution and to the general public by empowering libraries /librarians/academic community in a networked environment.Also to know how networks ties between doctors/librarians/academic community in kerala can create a health literate group.

There should be a pool of health care experts who are active in social media for clarifying doubts of healthinfonet group members on health issues which may arise during online discussions.

Workflow:

Doubts by healthinfonet members on health related aspects will be posted via healthinfonet admin to concerned Health care expert.

For example, if a doubt comes based on your speciality, that question will be posted to you.You may reply as per your convenience.
