Sexual Assault Awareness Month - Interest & Involvement Form
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. On April 29th, UC Merced will be celebrating Denim Day: Wear Jeans for Justice! Denim Day is a campaign that began in 1999 as a part of an international protest of an Italian High Court decision to overturn a rape convictions because the survivor was wearing tight-fitting jeans. The judge said she must have helped the perpetrator remove her jeans and thus wasn't "really" raped. This verdict became a symbol of the kind of injustice that sexual assault survivors face all around the world.

Please show your support and commitment to ending sexual violence by wearing denim on April 29th. If you would like to be more involved, please show your support by providing your contact information and checking one or more of the boxes below.
