The roundtable discussion will delve into the critical issue of humanitarian localisation, focusing on the inclusion and empowerment of local actors in the international humanitarian response framework. Local actors, who are the first responders and remain active when international aid wanes often find themselves sidelined when global efforts are mobilised. This discussion aims to address the ethical, political and economic dimensions of localisation and seek pathways for a more equitable and effective humanitarian response system.
