Thank you so much for expressing interest in CRECE's Youth Ambassador Program,
Sembrando Cambios!
Our goal for this program is to uplift the role of youth in the urban farming movement and create a fun, engaging experience for you to learn about urban farming and all its relevant themes.
This program is for you if you have ever wondered about how your food gets to your plate, how plants and food grow, how food ties into our health and wellness, or if you have ever wondered what kind of change you can make in Orange County/your community as a young person.
In the next section, please review the engagement expectations, eligibility requirements, and program benefits to ensure you will be able to fully participate with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Max at max@crece-urbanfarms.org or Jessenya at jessenya@crece-urbanfarms.org.
There are two application deadlines:
July 29th: Apply by this date to have your application prioritized. This is not a guarantee of acceptance but can help your application.
August 5th: Need more time? Apply by the regular decision deadline! Your application will still be considered holistically.
Also, there will be two events you may attend to help us put a face to the name and aid us in the selection process. They will take place at Grace Community Farm located at 800 N Cambridge St, Orange CA 92867.
1. July 25th: Youth Skillshare Festival, 5-7PM -- an evening of youth workshops, music, food, art, and culture. Light refreshments and small bites provided!
2. August 8th: Movie Night, 5-7:30PM - screening of Fruits of Labor, a youth-focused film. Followed by discussion circles. Snacks provided!
If you are unable to make it to either of these events, a Zoom meeting option will be available.
*NOTE: If you participated in Cohort 3 and are looking to return, do not fill out this application, you will complete a separate application.
