An Introduction to Songwriting with The Muse
Explore the world of the lyrical craft in this collaborative introduction to songwriting. Through listening, discussion, and free writing aimed to engage our senses, we’ll work together with instructor Skye Zentz to craft a (mostly) original song using an existing melody and form. No previous musical experience required, as this class will not involve music theory or composition. This workshop is particularly recommended for those with some background in creative writing, journaling and/or poetry.

When: Saturday, July 20th from 1 PM - 3:30 PM

Where: The Muse Writers Center (2200 Colonial Ave #3, Norfolk, VA 23517)

Who: The session is open to/free for all veterans, service members, military family members, and caregivers. Please keep in mind that this workshop can only accommodate 12 participants.
