Thank you for submitting a nomination for the 2nd Annual Be There Awards!
The Be There campaign is a call to action for adults to help inspire kids to be in school by motivating and encouraging students, celebrating good attendance, and making school attendance a priority. We recognize the critical role teachers, youth workers, parents and community members play in inspiring kids to be in school every day. We invite you to celebrate the end of the school year by showing appreciation to the adults that are showing up everyday to make a difference in the lives of children and youth across Allegheny County!
1. Anyone is eligible to submit a nomination.
2. A nominee must serve youth in Allegheny County with specific emphasis on helping children & youth succeed in school.
This could be a teacher, school counselor/social worker, Afterschool professional, community leader, service provider, parent, volunteer, pastor, etc. Basically any adult who goes above and beyond and demonstrates a sincere dedication to helping kids prepare for future success.
3. Nominations are being accepted now through April 17th. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee. Selection committee members will be published once final decisions are made. Awardees will be notified by Monday, May 4th .
The Be There awards will be presented at the end of year celebration that will be held Thursday, May 14th from 5-7PM at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty.
This is an opportunity for Allegheny County's youth serving community to come together to celebrate all those who dedicate their efforts to helping youth be where? Be There, in school, every day, ready to succeed!
