Silverwood Park Phenology Walk Workshop
We hope you can join us Saturday, December 9th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm for a workshop lead by Backyard Phenology in partnership with Silverwood Park. Together we will explore the signs of the seasons the park and begin a process of co-designing a Phenology walk through the park.

This workshop is the first in a series of community events that will invite park users together to collectively imagine what a Phenology Walk could look like at Silverwood.

Free lunch will be provided!

WHAT:
Phenology is the study of when seasonal events happen and how their timing is impacted by climate. The process of observing the changes throughout the year impacts our relationship and understanding of Place and enables us to notice the threads that connect culture to climate to community. The process of designing a phenology walk enables us to learn histories, cultivate relationships, and observe how plants, animals, and people move through a space. This workshop will introduce participants to the process of observing and recording phenology and offer a series of engaging activities to stimulate individual and collective reflection on our relationship to Place.

WHEN:
Saturday, December 9th from 12 to 2:00 pm

WHERE:
Three Rivers - Silverwood Park Visitors Center: 2500 County Rd E, St Anthony, MN 55421
