Are you looking for a simple, hands-on way to make a positive difference in our community? We need volunteers for the following, down to Earth, opportunities (No Experience Necessary!):
-Water 5 planted containers in a neighborhood node. This activity involves moving hoses from Hot Comics across the street to the NE corner of 44th & Penn and carrying a water can across Osseo Road to water 2 containers on the median.
Location: 44th Avenue North/Penn Avenue North/Osseo Road Intersection
Commitment: Weekly
Days: TBD and confirmed by email
Timing: Flexible, ideally earlier in the day because of traffic patterns. Expect 30-45 minutes per water session.
-Maintain the Loring Elementary School Pollinator Garden
Location: Loring Elementary, 2600 N 44th Ave Minneapolis, MN 55412
Commitment: Several times per month

Timing: Usually held from 6:00-7:30pm
-Maintain the Ryan Lake Park either with Environmental Committee members or on your own time - guidance to be provided.
Location: Ryan Lake, 4706 N Xerxes Avenue
Commitment: Several times per month, notably on our environmental meeting date, the 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm, weather permitted.
Days: With proper training (provided), you can go at your own time.
Timing: Usually held from 5:30-6:30pm with the Environmental Committee
-Shingle Creek: Maintain Common Ground community gardens with dedicated community members and gardeners.

All areas have guidance to be provided, some with written instructions, pictures and/or video. Mainly weeding, pruning and watering.
