Complete this form daily to track student's response to auditory sounds. Presentation of sounds should be given as
of the sound, in a natural way. The student may repeat back the sound or a pointing task may be used for their response.
To check the personal devices, stand 3 feet away from the student, have them turn slightly away so your face is not visible or use a listening hoop to cover your face. The device on the ear closer to you should be turned on. Have the student turn to the other side and switch devices so that only one ear listens at a time.
When completing a listening check with FM, using bilateral amplification, you must be at least 10 feet away from the student to ensure the personal hearing technology does not pick up your voice. Again, have the student turn away or cover your face to prevent visual cues.
