On November 1, 2017, residents on WIllamette Blvd between Rosa Parks Way and Woolsey Avenue were surprised to learn that the parking lane along their street will be removed after November 10, 2017 by a restriping project as suggested by a group called Friends of Willamette Blvd. Adjacent and surrounding streets were not notified. The names signed below are against this plan to remove the parking lane due to adverse effects to residents and neighbors, not only on Willamette Blvd, but beyond.
