For Artists: You will be located outdoors within the business district. The Artisan Marketplace will not contain "vendor" booths but only handcrafted items. ELCPR will be providing a heated tent for artisans. ARTIST FEE: $50
For Vendors: Artists and Vendors will be located in separate areas. Vendor spaces pertain to MLM (multi-level marketing) and other direct sales vendors. VENDOR FEE:: $50
A heated tent will be available for us to place artists & vendors.
FOOD VENDOR FEE: $100
Why: The ELCPR (East Liverpool Community Partnership for Revitalization) has identified the opportunity to hold a festive and welcoming outdoor winter marketplace before the holidays where residents of East Liverpool and surrounding cities, can find unique handcrafted wares perfect for gift-giving.
(ELCPR will be providing a heated tent) Depending on the number of applicants you may be asked to bring a 10x10 tent (some may be avail for rental), weights, and all needs for your booth including table(s) and chair(s). Electricity will be supplied so that you can light your tent. A vendor agreement will be sent out along with acceptances.
Requirements: Artists are required to distribute flyers and to share the event at least 2x through social media outlets. Social Media posting instructions will be provided upon acceptance.
Handmade Artists: What type of artist wares are we looking for: Participating artists will offer all handmade, quality work. We are looking for modern, functional and decorative items including items like: toys & plush, jewelry, illustration, photography, clothing, children's items, bath and body products, artwork, tea, coffee, and candles.
Santa will be on hand for photos, attendees can walk around sipping hot cocoa, tea, coffee, or enjoy adult beverages in the outdoor beer garden all while listening to live music. A giant bonfire will be lit to warm and light this unique holiday event. Kids and adults will love marshmallow roasting and SMOREs making. There will be an area for kids, led by artist instructors, to create their own handmade gifts for family and friends for a small fee. Currently empty storefronts will be filled with art and photography from local artisans and additional vendor shopping will take place nearby.
The community held a successful smaller scale event in 2016 that was well received by the community sparking this larger annual event.
ABOUTThe community of East Liverpool, Ohio is located close to Pittsburgh near the point where the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia meet. If coming from Pgh, you will drive through 3 states within a matter of minutes. The drive from Downtown Pittsburgh is approximately 45 minutes.
East Liverpool has a history rich in the functional arts. Known as "Pottery City" and it was the only community in the United States wholly devoted to the manufacture of pottery. Among the current attractions is the Museum of Ceramics located within the footprint of the Ceramic City Winter Marketplace. Also close-by is the Pottery City Antique Mall, historic Thompson House Mansion, and located a few miles away in West Virginia is the Homer Laughlin China Company Factory Outlet known for it's FIESTA WARE! The outlet will have a booth on site at the event with their famous Fiesta Ware.
A little history: East Liverpool is known as "America's Hometown" and has enjoyed the distinction of being the "Pottery Capital of the World" for the past 150 years.
Clay was discovered in the area in the mid 1800's and more than 200 pottery factories bloomed across the city. Situated in the heart of the tri-state area, where Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio share the great Ohio River, East Liverpool can be reached by car or Motor Coach in under 50 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA, and just an hour's drive from Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Ohio; Wheeling, WV; Beaver Valley and Washington, PA.
Many visitors travel from across the nation to enjoy the city's many fine shops and to visit the 40,000 sq. ft. Pottery City Antique Mall.
