Thanks for your interest in Direct to Work - Pathways to Manufacturing! If you are interested in participating in the Fall 2024 program, please submit this interest form.
The program is a full-time (Monday through Friday 9:30 am - 3:30 pm), five week training. It includes learning technical manufacturing skills through an online site called ToolingU-SME and applying those skills using both physical tools and virtual reality technology called Transfr VR. Participants in the program will also gain industry exposure by taking tours of local manufacturers, team building skills, and direct job placement.
Participants that successfully complete the program will get the opportunity to earn a Certificate of Completion from Tompkins Cortland Community College, OSHA 10 Certification, the nationally recognized Certified Manufacturing Associate Certification (CMfgA), a one time $1,000 stipend, and a job interview with a participating manufacturer.
