2nd Chance Fund CPR & First Aid Scholarship
The 2nd Chance CPR & First Aid Scholarship was conceived by Dave and Mo Taylor. They are the parents of three young women who participated in the Colorado League. Their company, Mountain Island Construction, has been a long-time sponsor of the Colorado League as well as Boulder High School and Nederland High School.

In June 2016, Dave suffered a heart attack while riding at Curt Gowdy State Park. At the time, he was volunteering as a ride leader for the Stone Temple Youth Mountain Bike Camp. Dave was saved by Amy Dickerson a cardiac nurse and fellow ride leader who administered CPR for 15 minutes until medical care arrived on the scene. He recovered from the heart attack because of Amy Dickerson's CPR training.

The Colorado League, with the financial support of the Taylor Family and Team Evergreen will grant scholarships to both coaches and student-athletes who attend CPR and/or Wilderness First Aid courses. Please complete the following form so that we may support you and your commitment to ensuring a better and safer community.

Scholarships will be considered for student-athletes and  licensed Level 1 or higher Coaches. All coach license fees must be paid, and coaches must have completed their Level 1 license requirements prior disbursement of scholarship funds. Coach License Requirements may be found HERE.

Scholarship funds are dispersed upon receipt of the WFA and/or CPR card.
