Introduction to machine learning using Galaxy
30.03.2020 - 01.04.2020,
This workshop is an introduction to machine learning using Galaxy at the beginner level. We have a theoretical introduction for each topic and also hands-on exercises.
Preliminary content (will be finally selected by the demand of participants):
- Galaxy introduction
- Machine learning basics
- Classification algorithms(logistic regression, k-nearest neighbors, support vector machines and random forest)
- Regression models (linear, nonlinear and ensemble models)
- Unsupervised learning (clustering and dimension reduction)
- Feature selection methods
- Hyper-parameter optimization
This is a de.NBI (RBC) course and will be limited to 35 participants who will be selected from all applicants.
Participants will be informed whether their application was successful.
