CNM is Free Libre Open Source Software. I am working on improving it as always. Version 5.5 recently added quantities automation, and the bubble notes blocks changed significantly (multi-line attributes). I am continuing to work on changes, and I would like to understand user preferences to guide my design choices.

If you put Civil 3D labels next to CNM Bubble Notes, how do you place them? (Choose the closest to correct answer.)

Not applicable. We do not put Civil 3D labels next to CNM bubble notes.

The Civil 3D label is dragged as Stacked Text, then we move/copy a bubble note to the Civil 3D label by zooming in and eyeballing its placement.

The Civil 3D label is dragged As Composed (different styles for left and right dragging), then we move/copy a bubble note to the Civil 3D label by zooming in and eyeballing its placement.

The Civil 3D label is dragged As Composed (different styles for left and right dragging), and we move/copy the bubble note to the Civil 3D label by osnap to an object we placed in the Civil 3D label.

We turn off the Civil 3D label leader, and we move the label next to the CNM bubble by zooming in and eyeballing it (ad hoc).

If you put Civil 3D labels next to CNM Bubble Notes, how do you underline them or visually connect them to the CNM Bubble with a line? (Choose any applicable methods that describe your current best practice.)

Not applicable. We do not put Civil 3D labels next to CNM bubble notes.

We don't use a connecting or underlining line. The Civil 3D label is simply next to the bubble.

We add spaces to the underlined gap or Line 1 in the bubble note to make it work for the Civil 3 label.

We draw/copy an AutoCAD line.

We have underlining and/or overlining in our Civil 3D labels.

We have a line object in our Civil 3D labels.

How much do you think you would appreciate a manually stretchable line (underline/overline) in bubble notes if it were present? (This could be useful with Civil 3D labels placed next to CNM bubble notes. This could also replace the underlined gap that CNM uses to connect bubble note text to bubble shapes.)

What version of CNM do you use most? (The HAWS-ABOUT and HCNM-ABOUT commands report your current version.)

CNM 5.5 switches to multi-line (MTEXT-like) attributes for bubble note text so that it can be masked dynamically. What is your opinion about this change? (Choose the closest answer.)

Very important. I hope to upgrade immediately even if you tell me there are some masking glitches and that multi-line attribute editing is a hassle.

Nice. But I don't mind the manual mask stretching of earlier versions. This doesn't prioritize upgrading for me.

Not good. I prefer to adjust masking manually. Or I prefer single-line attribute editing. I hope not to upgrade.

CNM 5.5 adds a custom bubble note editor that is faster than previous bubble note editing methods and also has automated text (quantities, station, offset, northing, easting, etc). What is your opinion about this change? (Choose the closest answer.)

Very important. I hope to upgrade immediately.

Nice. But this doesn't prioritize upgrading for me.
