2019 OCPL Writing Contest
The Adult Writers' Group at the Oldham County Public Library is sponsoring the 3rd annual OCPL Writing Contest. Please make sure to read through the guidelines before submitting.

This year's theme is "Self Improvement". Submissions will be accepted from January 4th - February 15th, 2019. Writers of all skill level are invited to submit. Submissions will be judged based on the age category of the writer, by a panel of writers from the Adult Writers' Group. Winners will be announced in early March, and published on the Library website. Winners will receive a gift card to the bookstore of their choice.

Guidelines for submission, Adult Category (ages 18+): Choose an epigraph from the following and write on the theme of "Self Improvement". Submissions may be poetry, flash fiction, or creative non-fiction. All entries should be limited to 500 words.

Guidelines for submission, Youth Category (ages 5-17): Write a personal essay or flash fiction story about how you imagine your life will be in 50 years. All entries should be limited to 500 words.
