San Francisco Chinatown Tour
Hello De Anza students, faculty, and friends! Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

The Asian American and Asian Studies Department (ASAM) Vibrant Communities is celebrating AAPI Heritage Month with a series of events. This event is a walking tour of San Francisco's Chinatown in pair with the film Chinatown Rising, a documentary about the Asian American movement through the 1960s-1980s. Event Logistics:

11 AM - 12:30 PM
Meet at the corner of Grant Ave and California St. in front of Old St. Mary's Cathedral
(Parking at St. Mary's Square Garage is $6 all day on Saturday)

Transportation is not provided but public transportation will be coordinated. Public transportation will be through BART at the Milpitas BART Station. If you need accommodation and transportation to the BART Station, feel free to let me know.

In order to use BART, you need a Clipper card for $3 OR free using Apple/Google Pay (read here) OR De Anza students receive a free Clipper card through the Office of College Life. It will cost $8.60 from Milpitas to SF, and $17.20 roundtrip.

Attendees must fill out a waiver for attending the event. An e-waiver will be emailed to you after this form is filled out.
