The Neighbourhood Activity Trunk is the Festivals' assortment of games, toys and supplies available on loan for groups that organize neighbourhood get-togethers. It was created initially to help engage youth to lead and plan fun neighbourhood activities. We still waive the wear and tear fee when youth takes the lead in bringing neighbours together. Procedure:1. To book the Activity Trunk, fill in this form 2. Once your booking request is received, Social Development Centre Waterloo Region staff will contact you with the availability of the items you requested and will send the booking confirmation.3. Pick up the Trunk Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm at 74 Frederick Street in Kitchener. 4. There is a booking fee of $25.00 for wear and tear. Payment can be made by cash or cheque and is due when the Trunk is picked up. You will receive a receipt for your payment at pick up.THIS FEE IS WAIVED FOR EVENTS ORGANIZED AND LED BY YOUTH UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE!5. After your event, please check that you have all items before returning the trunk. Do not worry about coloring pages, construction paper and other consumable items! We buy NEW stuff regularly thanks to the $25 fee!6. Return the Trunk by the following day (or the following Monday if you had a weekend event).7. This booking will be used as a pre-registration of your activity with the Festival of Neighbourhoods if it is held in Kitchener.
