If you wish to attend (and you meet the qualifications), we would love to have you join us! In order to enhance the experience for our attendees, registration is limited to the first 30 people.
To apply, please fill out the following questionnaire. The applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our goal is to help teachers learn more about Vonnegut's life and work so that they can answer student questions and more effectively teach Vonnegut.
Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library Director of Education, Max Goller, will bring together leading Vonnegut scholars, guaranteeing a fruitful experience for all who attend.
Workshop sessions will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m E.S.T. beginning Wednesday, July 17 and continuing through Friday, July 19. There will also be optional (but exceptionally fun!) after-hours social events planned. For teachers able to extend their visit by a day, we will offer a special tour of Vonnegut's Indianapolis on Saturday, July 20th.
This program is free to attendees, but it does cost us to operate it. We are grateful to Indiana Arts Commission for the portion of support that they provide. If you or your school could pitch in $100 to support the program, not only would you be giving back to this excellent program, but you'd also become a full-fledged member of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library at the "Kurt's Karass" level. If you contribute your entire cost, that $480 donation elevates you to the level of "Kilgore Trout Fan Club" donor. Those gifts can be paid in small amounts each month if that works better for you. Go to https://www.vonnegutlibrary.org/get-involved/online-donation for more information or to make a donation, or pass it along to your school for consideration. We appreciate the support. All gifts are tax-deductible.
If you are unable to make a gift to us at this time, no worries... we welcome you to participate and enjoy the full experience.
