What: NEXT GENERATION SCHOLARS RESEARCH FAIR
When: Thursday, November 21, 2013
Where: DLRC 131, 134
Deadline for Registration: Sunday, Nov 3, 2013
The PGSG Academic & Professional Development Committee invites all graduate students to participate in the Next Generation Scholars Research Fair. At NGS, you will be able to share your poster/presentation/demonstration with 7th & 8th grade students from Tecumseh Middle School! This is a great opportunity to practice presentation skills while inspiring students about research, and it is a concrete way to demonstrate the broader impact that your research has on the community.
All participants will receive free poster printing and lunch. Each presenter will also get Laser Pointer and ear buds as take away gifts. There is also a prize of $100 for best poster. There are no costs associated with participating in this event and all presenters will have their abstract printed in the official program for Next Generation Scholars. Presenters will be asked to be present from 9am to 11:30am to share their research, and are invited to come hear the opening speakers. We would like a diverse group of presenters to accurately represent the research being done at Purdue.
If possible, please try to construct a poster which is accessible to middle school students. Poster printing is free and you get to keep the poster afterward!
