CPPLA Mentor Program 2018/19
SIGN UP TO BE A MENTOR FOR THE CAL POLY POMONA LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM! This form is designed to collect all the necessary information for individuals looking to serve as a mentor to the students of Cal Poly Pomona Landscape Architecture.

Friends of the department, alumni from the programs or just a dedicated designer with an affinity for landscape– all mentors are welcome! The program is open to all, no membership or license any type is required.

Mentors will sign up. Students will sign up. Based-upon key criteria such as location and shared interest, mentors and mentees will be paired. The Mentor Program Advisor will pair mentors and mentees.

The CPPLA Mentor program recommends meeting at least once a month. The mentee is expected to request meetings and set the agenda for meetings. As a convenient alternative to a face-to-face meeting, Skype (or other online platform) is encouraged as a quick and easy form of communication between you and your mentee, especially when there is a conflict in travel distances or work schedules.

This small commitment you make will have a lasting, positive impact and generate great benefits to our profession. We hope you will consider taking this opportunity to mentor a student or new graduate and to help develop the future of our shared profession.  The Mentor Program is for the academic year but we hope that you will foster a relationship that will last a lifetime.

If you know of someone else who might be interested in serving as a Mentor, please forward this form to them.

This form is due by October 1, 2018

Thank you for helping to empower the future of landscape architecture!
