Memorial School Volunteer Program    2023-2024
The Bedford School District’s highly successful volunteer program has been active for more than 40 years! Parents and family members help in many different ways to enrich our students’ learning. Volunteers dedicate their time and talents to assist during and after school, as well as from home. There is something to fit everyone's schedule.

If you are interested in volunteering regularly or occasionally, helping from home, dropping off needed food or supplies for events, or you just want to learn about upcoming ways to be involved at Memorial School, please fill out this Volunteer Google Form. You can help with the tasks or events that interest you and fit your schedule.

VOLUNTEERING AT MEMORIAL: By checking yes, you will be informed of all the great volunteer opportunities throughout the year at Memorial either IN SCHOOL or available AT HOME (via SignUp Genius or email) and you can help at the events that interest you and fit your schedule. You are not committing to volunteering, just to be informed of the opportunities as they arise. *
ROOM PARENT: Selected by the teacher, you will be asked to assist the teacher with classroom needs and be a liaison to parents. At this time it is anticipated that the manner in which the room parent assists is determined by the classroom teacher.
The Great Artist Series (It’s a G.A.S.) GRADES 1 - 4 only:
Volunteers visit a classroom to discuss the life and times of an artist and assist students to create an art project in that particular artist’s style or medium. Preparation is minimum as there are google docs and binders available for artist information, as well as art project suggestions and supplies. Teachers and children LOVE when volunteers come into their classrooms for this program. It is a positive experience not only for the students, but for the volunteers as well.
Confidentiality Agreement: By selecting the checkbox provided, I acknowledge the importance of maintaining confidentiality in my capacity as a volunteer. I commit to not discussing any student's performance or actions, whether positive or negative, with anyone other than the student's teacher, counselor, or principal. This agreement extends to the proper use of email and other contact information solely for PTG-related matters. Furthermore, I am aware that any breach of this agreement may result in the termination of my volunteer opportunities.
