• By filling out this form, you are applying to the yearlong 2013-14 ARLIS/NA Career Mentoring program.
• To participate in the program, you must attend the Pasadena conference mentoring workshop on Friday morning, April 26. The workshop provides training tools necessary to create and maintain a successful mentoring relationship.
• Each participant will be paired beforehand with a mentor or mentee. Pairs are expected to continue communicating at least once per month throughout the year. The mentoring year begins at the Pasadena conference and ends at the Washington, DC conference. Pairs are welcome to continue their relationship beyond that allotted time frame. Members of the ARLIS/NA Mentoring Subcommittee will be on hand throughout the year to help make the mentoring relationship a rewarding one.
• For more information about the program, please visit the ARLIS/NA website at: http://www.arlisna.org/organization/com/profdev/mentor/index.html

Timeline:
• The application deadline for this program is Monday February 18th, 2013. Notification of acceptance will be made by March 4th. Please email the committee at mentor@arlisna.org if you have questions.

Please be advised: it is the belief of the ARLIS/NA Mentoring Subcommittee that regardless of experience or areas of interest all ARLIS/NA members can benefit from having a mentor to offer support and act as a sounding board. The training workshop will discuss this in detail. While we will try to match pairs based on like interests and experiences, these factors are not essential in a successful mentoring relationship.

Please Note: The Yearlong Career Mentoring Program is different from the Conference Networking Program. Information and registration for the Conference Networking Program is available here http://goo.gl/2im6U
