Qualitative Methods in Research (July 10-14, 2017)

Greetings from the Department of Health Promotion and Education of the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila!

We are pleased to announce that the department will be conducting a short course on Qualitative Methods in Research. This course aims to enable the participants to:

1. discuss basic concepts, uses and principles of qualitative research;
2. differentiate qualitative from quantitative research;
3. discuss the different qualitative research methodologies;
4. develop tools for the conduct of selected qualitative research methods;
5. conduct focus group discussions, key informant interviews, participant observations, network analysis, case and ethnographic studies
