The following lists contain typical factors the Cherokee Central Schools will use in evaluating requests for waivers of activity use fees. Failure to meet each factor's criterion will not necessarily preclude granting a waiver, and meeting all criteria will not necessarily ensure granting of a waiver. All listed factors as well as other known applicable considerations will be weighed to make the final judgment for granting or denying a waiver.

1. Is the request for a one-time use activity? Requests for waivers will generally be denied for regularly
scheduled activities such as sports leagues. college classes conducted after normal hours, monthly or weeklv civic group meetings, etc. Does the activity support community interests?

2.Requests should include a justification
statement describing how the activity will support Tribal Community interests.

3. Will significant custodial costs be incurred to support the activity? Activities with large numbers of
people in attendance requiring significant custodial bathroom supplies or additional custodial staff support with generally not be considered for waivers. Large numbers of people will be defined as greater
than fifty.

4. Will significant utility costs be incurred to support the activity? Activities requiring use of outdoor
lighting such as stadiums and ball fields. long periods of gymnasium lighting, heating or cooling of large spaces, etc., will generally not be considered for waivers. How many use fee waivers has the location recently requested? Because the cumulative effect of multiple waivers to the facilities operation and maintenance budget will be significant, a limited number of waivers will be granted on an annual basis.
Usage fees will include the cost of a custodian for use of the buildings or other employees if the parking lots, track, and ball fields are used.
Cherokee Central School employees who work outside of their normal tour of duty will be paid time and a half and paid double on holidays.
Use of Cherokee Central School Facilities for funeral services only for chiefs of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians will be permitted
Proof of liability insurance coverage for the requested activity must be submitted with this request.
