Centre Foundation’s Giving Circle is a group of community-minded individuals who pool their resources together to make a big impact. The group meets at an annual cocktail reception to hear from three finalist organizations. While all three finalist organizations will receive a grant, the members' votes determine which finalist organization will receive a $10,000 grant!

Since its inception in 2006, members of the Giving Circle have distributed $109,000 in grants to support programs throughout Centre County!

Round One: interested organizations may submit a short application. These applications will be reviewed by Giving Circle members, who will select three organizations progress to the next step.

Round One applications are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017.

Round Two: the three finalist organizations selected by Giving Circle members will present grant proposals at the annual cocktail reception on August 30th. While all three finalists will receive a grant, Giving Circle members' votes will determine which organization receives the $10,000 grant.

The round one application is short and very simple to complete, so we encourage you to apply ahead of the June 23rd deadline!

Grant proposals will be accepted through 5:00pm on Friday, June 23rd.

By submitting the following Round One grant proposal, your organization commits to the following program guidelines and requirements:

• Must be 501c3 and meet all legal requirements of Centre Foundation grantees.
• Round one applicants will be notified of the results of the membership vote on July 10th, 2017
• Successful applicants moving on to Round Two must be available for a minimum of two ‘presentation review’ sessions between the dates of July 10th and August 25th, 2017.
• Must be able to attend and present at the August 30th, 2017 Giving Circle cocktail reception at Above the Valley.  Presenters will need to be at the venue from approximately 4PM to 8PM.
• Applicant organizations are allowed to have two presenters as non-voting attendees.  Additional supporters of the organization may purchase a membership in order to attend – and vote!
• Successful Round Two applicants must be available to present at a grant impact update event at on February 28th, 2018.  
• In the event of a tie vote during round one, finalists will be chosen by random selection
• In the event of a tie vote during round two, there will be a tie-breaker vote taken at the event.
