AVC's Class of 2023 Blue Coat Welcome Ceremony & Dinner will be held on Friday, August 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall on the UPEI campus. The Blue Coat Welcome Ceremony is a special event to officially welcome you to AVC. During the ceremony, you will be formally inducted into your veterinary education by being "cloaked" (by your presenter) with a blue laboratory coat, distinguished by the official logo of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. This coat may be worn in your laboratories and clinics at AVC.

You have been allocated three seats (including you and two guests) compliments of AVC. If you are bringing a guest and/or a presenter, it is your responsibility to invite them and confirm their attendance. You may have more than one presenter. Your presenter(s) will be the person(s) who will present you with your blue coat on stage. If you don't have a presenter, we will assign one to you. If you require more than 3 seats, there is a charge of $40 per extra person.

Sizing information
The blue lab coats are unisex in style and available in a variety of sizes: XXS - 28"-32"; XS - 34"-36"; S - 38"-40"; M - 42"; L- 44"- 46"; XL- 48" and XXL- 52"+. The size refers to your chest measurements. If you require a size not listed, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate you. You might want to check sizing at uniform clothing stores (such as Mark's Work Wearhouse) before determining your size.

Extra tickets ordered are to be paid for by cash or cheque at the Dean's Office by August 23, 2019. If you order extra tickets and they are a no-show, please advise us before the dinner, otherwise you will be charged for the extra tickets.
