2020 ALT Annual Conference Committee
This year we are offering all volunteers an opportunity to sign up for what you are particularly interested in helping with in the run-up to and during ALT's Annual Conference 2020. We would like the conference to reflect the expertise, experience and practice from across different sectors and the growing Member community in the UK and beyond.
The work of the Committee will start in January 2020 as the Call for Proposals is issued and continues up to the conference in September 2020.
Committee Members meet online every month but continue to work together to plan activities, promote the event and support participants between meetings.
Please use the form below to indicate how you would like to contribute to the 2020 ALT Annual Conference.
1. Help shape the academic programme
Help us review submissions and/or provide advice and support to authors. Abstracts are 250-500 words max and we would expect reviewers to review around 5 abstracts each. Please indicate which type of reviewing or mentoring you are most interested in:
Review all types of proposal
Review research paper proposals
Review reflective practice proposals
Review workshop and/or panel proposals
2. Help plan for the conference
There is a lot besides the programme that goes into making the ALT Annual Conference. Provide input to help us make this conference the best it can be for all participants.
Approach potential sponsors or other supporters
Help promote the conference, write posts and engage new networks across sectors
Run virtual help sessions for new authors and/or session chairs about what they can expect on conference day
Assist in developing a guide to the local area containing useful information about local services and attractions
3. Help deliver the conference in September
We are looking for help to deliver the conference at the venue and virtually.
Chair sessions (keep time, facilitate Q&A...)
Welcome first-time conference delegates
Support running the social programme in London
