HSCTE Professional Development Content Needs
We are aware that many HSCTE members complete Professional Development for their state Department of Health license in addition to that required for their teaching certification.

Please be aware that HSCTE's first priority is to improve the quality of instruction and we know maintaining continuing education in your field facilitates understanding of best practices as they apply to your students as well, but we will not be pursuing becoming an "approve provider" for any DoH license.

Do you maintain a department of health license that requires you to complete continuing education?
In general, Professional Development offered for continuing education for a department of health license is not credited towards OSPI teaching certifications.
Should HSCTE get involved to pursue means to have these approved for OSPI professional development as well? (Be aware it may not be possible to have STEM credit awarded, even for healthcare activities)
