The Kearney R-1 School District will offer 2 sites for the summer school program for our students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade.
The program will be 18 days in length beginning on
Wednesday, June 3rd and will run through Friday, June 26th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
*Students who will attend Kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2020-2021 school year at Kearney Elementary and Dogwood will attend the summer program at Dogwood Elementary.
*Students who will attend Kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2020-2021 school year at Southview and Hawthorne will attend the summer program at Southview Elementary.
Bus transportation WILL be available this summer. Bus routes will be available at Open House. Please indicate in your child's registration if he/she will ride the bus AM/PM.
Car rider"s parents/guardians will need to be able to drop students off at Dogwood and Southview between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. and pick them up at 3:00 p.m.
New this year: Current Lunch balances will carry over to Summer School and transfer back for 2020-2021 school year.
RevTrak is also available for use during Summer School.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided by SFE at the current prices.
(Breakfast - $1.75; Lunch - $2.35; Milk - $.50)
Menus will go home with students on the first day of summer school.

The Kids' Club before and after school child-care program will be available at Dogwood and Southview during summer school. There is a charge for this summer program. Interested parents may print a Kids’ Club enrollment form from the district website at
. Space is limited.
Summer School Open Houses will be at held at both locations on Tuesday, May 26th from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Students will need a backpack and no other school supplies.
