Cornerstone Prayer Challenge - Mosers
Cornerstone Family,

We are providing an opportunity for a type of Prayer Vigil over a couple of our families, where
you can choose a DAY to be intentional about praying in a focused way. These 2 families are
walking through unique and ongoing challenges, where a little effort on our part can break into
an otherwise isolating time. We are focusing on:

- Cody and Londa Goraczkowski as they are in a season of adjustment, as Grace (finally here!!)
settles into their family.

- Brian and Marlys Moser as they walk through a renewed season of the cancer attacking Marlys’
body.

For Cody and Londa, in their adoption journey, they are in a focused time right now, somewhat
separated from extended family and community, where the goal is for baby Grace to develop a
strong attachment to their nuclear family. This new normal limits us in how we can be
supporting them, which is much of why this time of prayer has been created.

For Brian and Marlys, there is a new season of ‘trials' infusion treatments at Mayo, which require
hours on the road, living out of a motel (weather complications) putting much of the rest of life
on hold. Marlys has been dealing with a great increase in physical symptoms and issues. It has
been a discouraging time, and we don’t want them to be battling alone.

If we can be an encouragement, if we can come alongside and put our prayer shields around
them, let’s do it!

We know that there are a great many families walking thru hard things and difficult adventures,
and as Pastor’s Steve, Ryan and I know how to pray, be assured that we are in prayer for you. As
always, there are both the monthly Prayer Vigil and the Cornerstone Prayer FB group as places
that you can invite people into prayer/praise over you.

We are creating this organized Daily Prayer Challenge over the next couple of months, as a means of
guarding and uplifting these specific families, as well as unifying/developing our roles as
extended church family.

Pray as you go - you may be able to have little pockets of focused
prayer, but in the midst of your normal day, find a way to remind yourself to be prayerful.
Prayer is asking and listening. Prayer is looking to Him for the answers. Prayer can be glorious
gratitude over them in singing. Let the Lord stretch you and create a new thing in you.

There are 2 calendars, one for each family, where you may choose to take a day of focused
prayer for that family. Even if each day isn’t covered, the point is to come together as a church
family to focus and be diligent.

The second part of this challenge is for after you’ve had a day of prayer for the family, if you are
led, to send a card or email of blessing to the family. This is not meant as a place of giving
advice, but as a way to fill up and speak life to them.

May you let the Holy Spirit lead you in your prayers and ministry to whomever He puts on your
heart. May He grow your spiritual muscles and deepen our bonds as the family of God.

Following His leading,

Marnie
