ASA 2021 SocDev Mentorship Program
Graduate students and junior faculty will be paired up with a scholar more advanced in their career. Pairs will be matched based on areas of mentorship, then by substantive research interests. Mentorships groups will consist of at least one mentor and one or more mentees. Mentors and mentees will personally schedule and meet up anytime by video, phone, or whatever means preferred. You will be notified of your pairing by Friday, July 23, 2021.

This year the SocDev Mentorship Program would like to offer a "Speed Mentoring" session that consists of breakout rooms. Each breakout room is led by one mentor who would speak on a particular career stage or career path (e.g., "just found a job," "just obtained tenure," "teaching position," "research position," and "non-academic position"). The session will be divided into several rounds. During each round, mentees ask questions. During the following rounds mentees can choose to attend a different breakout session or stay in the same room. The Mentorship Program moderator will assign mentees based on their interests expressed in this questionnaire.
