Description
CLOSED Splint Weaving in Herringbone Twill Pattern: This is the first in a series of 3 stand-alone classes on the traditional art of seat weaving. Winter is the perfect time to learn the traditional art of seat weaving using reed splint. Bring in an old chair or stool and learn to weave a new seat in a herringbone twill pattern. This is a great beginner’s project.

Fiber Rush Seat Weaving: This is the second in a series of 3 stand-alone classes on the traditional art of seat weaving. Do you have an old chair or stool tucked away and unused because the rush seat is broken? Winter is the perfect time to learn the traditional art of weaving a fiber rush seat. Bring your old chair to life and learn a new skill.

7 Step Caning: This is the third in a series of 3 stand-alone classes on the traditional art of seat weaving. If you have always wanted to replace the broken seat in your antique caned chair but couldn’t find a professional who still knows how to do this type of hand-woven or lace caning, this is the class for you. Dig your old chair out of the attic and spend a rewarding weekend learning the traditional art of caning.
