2022 MFCA HANDS TEAM NOMINATION FORM
The Missouri Football Coaches Association is beginning the nomination process for the 1st annual MFCA Hands Team and would like your help identifying potential nominees. From the player names submitted by high school coaches and administrators, the MFCA will select a team of 11 individual student/athletes and 1 coach.
OVERVIEW
The MFCA Hands Team is comprised of Missouri high school student-athletes and a coach who make outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement and embody the true spirit of “teamwork” and “giving back” through commendable acts of kindness.
The 11 student-athletes and coach named to the MFCA Hands Team will be selected from nominations submitted by Missouri high school Head Football Coaches and/or members of the coaching staff, or high school principals and guidance counselors. The team will be selected at the MFCA State Convention.
CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION
Candidates should be actively involved in, and committed to, working with charitable organizations or service groups on or off campus and/or displayed extraordinary devotion to a personal cause in their lives. Additionally, it is suggested that nominees be:
Juniors or Seniors, coaches should be on current staff
Any player who is in good standing with his team is eligible for nominations
Of outstanding character and demonstrate performance in the classroom
Someone who has never been a member of a previous MFCA Hands Team
Free of any criminal activity, felony charges, or significant school disciplinary actions
TIMELINE
Deadline for Nominations: Nov. 22
Finalists notified: Nov. 28th (once finalists are determined, a letter of recommendation from charitable organizations or service groups the nominee has been actively involved with will need to be submitted for final selection)
Deadline for Letters of Recommendation: Dec. 2nd
